Adam and Eve Banished

21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” 23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side[e] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Adam and Eve hide from God

10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?
12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.”

Adam and Eve enjoying the Garden

Oops!  Rewind the story to where Adam and Eve are having fun with the animals in the garden.  This should be the first picture in the story of "the fall", but at the time I was being lazy and didn't feel like drawing all the animals.

Adam and Eve Eat the Fruit

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

The Serpent tempts Eve

Did God REALLY say not to eat from this tree?  If you eat from this tree then you will know everything like God does!

Adam and Eve in the garden

Recently I had to teach a lesson about the fall of Adam and Eve to a bunch of 3 year olds.  I was lucky because I was provided with a curriculum and the story.  However, the story was soooooooo long and had only ONE picture.  I knew the kids would get restless staring at just one picture for 10 minutes so I googled Adam and Eve pictures.  Unfortunately I couldn't find a series of pictures depicting each paragraph of the story so I ended up showing them a mish mash of pictures.  I hope it wasn't confusing that Adam and Eve looked different from picture to picture.  Had I prepared more, I would have just bought a book.  In any case last night I decided to start drawing my own pictures so that next year I won't have this problem.
