This assignment was pretty free form in that the only specifications were that it had to do with Work & Play. My original image was a little more complicated and I tried to simplify it down to its core idea. Dunno if there's still too much going on though.

This is cool! I like the under-water, suit wearing man, and the associations it triggers in my brain.
ReplyDeleteFunny, for me, the knee-jerk reaction was reversed - I imagined drowning in play, instead of drowning in work.
Very nice. Idea is quite cool, and you 'cored' it well.

Just a couple of things, the guy seems a bit 'top-heavy'. Was this a conscious choice? Also, I wonder if using a specific-stroke, pathed pen (i.e. not changing in width and free-form) would tighten the picture up a bit? Maybe even remove the outline from the island in the background entirely?
In any case, this is my new background at work.
