Email Fraud Part 3

Here is the final piece for the set. I like the way the coins came out, and the hand on top. I'm not loving the shape of the guy being shaken, because it doesn't quite capture the movement I wanted.

Email Fraud Part 2

I think that out of the set, I like this one the best. I think that it is because I love the holes in the colander.
I did this assignment with yupo paper and watercolour paint. I have totally fallen in love with the medium and play with it every time I can. I love the way it captures the movement of the pigment in the water and I like how the colours are more vibrant on yupo paper than they are on watercolour paper. And of course, I love how yupo paper allows me to ERASE.

That said, there are a few drawbacks. It takes forever to dry. And you can' t move the piece of paper while it's drying or it'll run and bleed. You also can't layer colours the way you can with watercolour paper. The colours just mix every time they get wet.

Email Fraud Part 1

This assignment was about Nigerian email fraud. One of the requirements was to make a set of three panels that showed a sequence of events. Apart from that, we had free reign over how we were to depict the scam.
I'm really happy with the way that this assignment turned out - especially with the way the three look as a set.

Recipe version 2

I got some feedback on this piece, so here is the updated version. I also adjusted the scanner settings, which means that this picture is closer to the true colour of the painting.

Recipe for a Pest-Free Home

This is an assignment where we had free reign to make a recipe for anything. I chose a recipe for a Pest-Free Home.
